The World’s First Scale Application of Smart Banking: State Bank of India

In 2016, State Bank of India (SBI), the largest bank in India, launched over 500 self-services kiosks including Bank Account Opening Kiosk and Bank Card Printing Kiosk across more than 100 branches as part of the Bank’s effort to build he next generation digital bank, to meet growing demands of banking services. SBI aimed to improve the customer experience by delivering the world-class service with latest technology.

Customer Training

The self-service kiosk solution, was specially designed by EMPTECH to provide the digitalized services, which features a range of advanced digital banking capabilities, including opening accounting and instant printing debit cards with personalized info. EMPTECH also provides on-site training of system operation and maintenance.

InTouch

The branches---SBI Intouch, are mostly located in major cities, such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru etc. “InTouch is the start of SBI’s Digital journey,” said S K Mishra, deputy managing director, State Bank of India.
